Theology Update

Today our Theology class officially began . I am having a difficult time expressing my feelings on this class, but it is a mixture of terror and fascination. Well let me start by describing Father Gunter. He is a British Benedictine priest who is one of 5 liturgical advisors to the Pope- so kind of important. He is astonishingly intelligent, overwhelmingly articulate, and terrifyingly demanding in his expectations.  I spent the class either gazing at him with awe and admiration or with confusion and horror.

To sum it up, he speaks like a Shakespearean character and has an intimidating demeanor that rivals Professor Snape from Harry Potter all wrapped up in Priestly clothing.

We have four classes for three hours twice a week (ooooof). The course requires reading from battered textbook called The Early Church. Written on the title page of my copy were the words: "Get a dictionary, this will suck".

So, Theo should be a fun time.... YIKES!
